Ocean Gipsy is a Perry designed 41’ ketch, built in Hong Kong in 1980 for Captain Douglas Orchard.   Doug is a former wartime bomber pilot, who went on to a career with several airlines, including BCAL.  At the gae of 77 he has decided to retire from his many years of sailing.

 

She was registered in Southampton with yard number 3751.  She is of GRP construction with wooden masts.
